Welcome to Early Bird Learning Center
The mission of Early Bird Learning Center is to serve the children and families of the EBLC community by offering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children between the ages of 12 weeks to 6 years old. At EBLC we give children a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment to explore, discover, and create. We desire for the whole child; physical, social-emotional, thinking, and communicating, to be acknowledged and developed utilizing a loving, creative, and individualized curricula. We believe in creating an environment where children learn to care about one another through the daily practice of love, joy, and peace.
The curriculum at Early Bird Learning Center is based on our philosophical view on how children learn and the milestones they will master as they go through each classroom. We value the philosophical approach of constructivist learning. Science, technology, engineering, and math (S.T.E.M.) is the basis for how we construct curriculum. As a facilitator of learning, we observe children at play, take notes about their interest levels, and incorporate activities about areas of interest into a child’s everyday environment. We view children as geniuses and scientists exploring their environment in order to discover what is meaningful to them and how they will take new knowledge and integrate it into their world.
Our program offers a balance of classroom and outdoor experiences. Our classrooms are supplied and enriched with all the things a child needs to step into a world of discovery. When a child plays with blocks, s/he begins to understand about size, shape comparison and numbers. When a child plays in the dramatic play space, s/he draws on his home experience and is able to work through feelings, develop language and form relationships in a familiar setting.
